I have a couple of rare game cartridges(specifically SNES) that rattle I have not read up on it and what causes it. So my first obvious question is what causes it and is there any way to correct it, and what does this do to the value. Thank you.

You can buy on ebay a gamebit...which is a tool to open game cartridges (like SNES)....if i were you, i`d buy it and see whats making that rattling noise inside the carts!
Usually it's just a piece of plastic that broke off. If it doesnt affect the way the cartridge holds together and the game still works, then the value should be identical since these are easily removed with a bit.

Actually what I mean by rattling it doesnt feel like something small is loose but the whole entire inside PCB or whatever is in there is moving around. I want to sell my Earthbound game but not if its like this. I want to get full price! And for the bit is there a store I can buy it at besides getting it online?
Oops (sorry ) I didn't realize I posted this in the wrong forum until now. MODS please move if preferred.
I think the most important question is: Does the game still work?
Rattling SNES carts are common. Inside, the pcb isn't mounted, it is just held in place between the front and back shell of the cart, which is in turn held together by the two 3.8mm Gamebit screws. If you had the bit (some dedicated electronics shop might carry it, but the easiest way is to buy it online) you can tighten the screws and it should fix the problem. Nothing to worry about as long as the game works you're ok
Ok everything I wanted to know thx. The game still works so for now I have nothing to worry about until I fix it.
The problem is the screw is under the label. So you have to ruin the label to fix the rattle.
