    Default Favorite Mega Man Era

Which was your favorite Mega Man era and why? For me it's probably the original series. Simple and fun. No real complexity or lots of gadgets to pick up on the way, which was yours?

    Hard to say for me...

The orginal I loved and probably to me MM2, 3, and 5 are the bes tof the series cause they had the coolest graphic uses, enemies and items. I always loved how they were simple and you could play them at any angle to start your way through the game- the easy known routes or the harder ones. And Rush was a kickass dog. ^_^

Then came X and...wow. The enemy names were cooler as well as the graphics and the storyline was much darker as the X series continued..even though Sigma was kind alame near the end. The addition of finding armor parts and the wall-kick moves gave the series new life and a new angel on beating the booses, but you also had to beat the environments the bosses were in with either new weapons or armor powerups.

While the first X game is one of the greatest games in existence, the rest of the series is noowhere near as good, and I haven't played any of the regular series after 6, so I have to say that the NES days were the best.

The NES days were more challenging, actually had better musicl, and were just better all around games design-wise. Overall, at least.

While I enjoy the whole series. I really think 1 - 6 were ground breaking and just so damn good.

I like the original games the most out of the series. Though X 1-4 were also nothing to sneeze at.

8-bit...the first 3 were far and away the best.

although the original X was good, the sequels were pretty forgettable, as was 4-6 on the NES...just IMO.

i wish they'd release the actual NES games on the GBA version of the collection, as i was never too crazy about the original GB games.

never played any of the 32 bit games except legends and X4...i spent a fair ammount of time with legends and enjoyed it. better controls and no voice overs would have helped (just gimme text to read, and i'll be fine).

Had to go with the original because those are the first and will remain the best.

I've loved every megaman game I've ever played, but I'd have to say the NES games are the best. NOTHING beats mega man 3. The X series is also great, and has some really great bosses. (Example: Crush Crawfish)

The original NES, but of course. The first three games still remain my favorite in the series, with MM2 being my absolute fave of all time. And although they lack originality, I'm still partial to MM4, 5, and 6. While MMX kicks ass, classic MM is still superior, and if I do say so myself, the GB adventures, particularly 4 and 5, really rule.

I like the entire series (except the battle network games), but I prefer the original 6 like most of you do.

It's all about the original 6. It's the first of the series I ever played, they're all fun as hell and have the best music. The X series would be a CLOSE second but I dunno....I just like the NES ones a tad bit better. Legends, Battle Chip, ect, whatever all suck. I hate em all.

The originals. Admittingly I havn't tryed all of them though. I bought MM:NT for the cube and I must say I didn't like it much. It's alright but I like the originals MUCH better.

I myself like the original NES Mega Man games the best. I like the original GB ones as well, although the NES ones were colour, so, I prefer them

I picked up the GBA one a few months ago, which is just an SNES port, but never really got into it like the old NES ones.

    NES originals were the best.

3 is my favorite, followed by 2. I was disappointed in 4 when it came out, due to the poor functionality of the arm cannonf charging. 5 worked better.

    I'd rank them like this:

    3
    2
    5
    6
    1
    4

(The first was the most original but it lacked in key categories (level design) plus it is too difficult. Most think the second was the best, but the lack of being able to slide well...sucks)

    The X series is ehhh

First one is great, the rest seem like 'been there, done that', though they are still worth playing. Strangely, "Megaman Zero" (yes, part of THIS series) is my second favorite.

    Megaman Legends...

something totally different but I like it! I want a fourth installment, whether it be MML3 or MoTB2..

The Battle Chip Network Battle Challenge Blue Red series?

I WON'T EVEN GIVE IT A CHANCE. THEY ARE MILKING IT NOW...but didn't they do that with Megaman Soccer?
