I decided to auction off some of my Atari games from my collection including my Lochjaw game. Anyone interested?

Only been for auction less than 18 hours and the bid price is over $248! I guess someone thinks their high bid will hold for the next 6 plus days!
Good luck selling it, I hope you get a small fortune for it!
Danny
I still dont know how people justify paying that much for a game, especially if it only has minimal differences to the other one.
Good luck selling though!
Thats about half of the expected price, bud. Don't expect this one to slow down till it hits 400-500Only been for auction less than 18 hours and the bid price is over $248! I guess someone thinks their high bid will hold for the next 6 plus days!

I was just surprised at how fast it has already been bid up. I see it listed at $250 in the DP guide, but I don't follow the atari scene as close as I probably should. I'll have time for that stuff after my genesis stuff is done.Originally Posted by Buyatari

Now it's over $400 I see, what's the reserve? $500??

Unlike NES collectors which for the most part are a hardened cutthroat disorganized lot, Atari collectors travel in gangs or packs.I was just surprised at how fast it has already been bid up. Each gang often has a leader and peace treaties are seldom signed with other gangs. Gang members often refuse to outbid a fellow members but should a member from a rival group become high bidder the first person to outhim from the group will have honors.
Thus they get the bids in there early so as to "claim" their territory from fellow gang members who might want the same item while daring others from other groups to cross the line least the items they bid on also be outbid.
Furious early bidding often results as bidders dance about as if in a knifefight waiting for the moment to plunge the final bid.

I guess I'll have to shape up my battle skills when I get serious about my 2600 collection then! I won't be afraid to outbid anyone on items I need, unless the bidding is really high (or if I am short on cash, I'll pull away from bidding as well). Thats interesting to know Adam, I never knew that was the case with the atari scene.Originally Posted by Buyatari

Can Capt Nintendo, Jag and I form the West Coast chapter of your gang?
Buyatari that was the funniest post I've read EVER.
Makes you want to just bid a couple dollars above for the fun of it (since you know you'll lose anyway)
