Nothing truly otherworldly, but I've stumbled across a couple of nice bundles in the past:

    1) 'Limited Edition' Gamegear/TV Tuner/Columns package, mint & boxed with powerpack, battery pack, screen magnifier and 16 boxed & complete games - £3

    2) Woody six-switch VCS with 4 sticks, 2 paddles & 20 loose carts - £2

    3) 7 3rd Party Dreamcast fishing rods for £1 each at Poundland. I put them all on eBay with a BIN of £10 and sold them all in 48 hours I also got 2 3rd Party N64 rumble packs, 4 3rd Party Saturn pads and a 6-button Megadrive pad at the same time, all for £1 each.

#3-My Top-Loader for $20 at local music store
#2-Chrono Trigger(snes) & Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 (DC) $10 for both at local pawn shop
#1- My grandaddy find.....Color Bar Generator mint with original instructions and original plain cardboard box at my local Goodwill store.......$0.50. But I weighed out my options and decided that it wasn't much of a "game" (which it isnt) But since it came up as a 10 on the scale, off to the auction block it went...for $348 .
That cash financed my minty Duo and new DC. It was worth it to me.

    1. Final Fantasy Tactics (non-GH) sealed - $2.99 at Goodwill in Austin last year on my birthday. Mixed with the audio CD's.

    2. Mythicon Star Fox for 2600 - free at Salvation Army. The guy at the counter saw the stains on the label and told me not to worry about paying. Works fine.

    3. Sega Master System with 3D glasses/adapter, 12 complete games, 2 controllers, and all cables - $9.99 at Savers. It was in perfect shape for not being boxed; still had the protective plastic cover on the shiny part of the console and controllers. It's in better shape than the one that I've owned since 1986.

ORANGEST! I, too, got my sealed Caltron from you. I actually think you supplied a majority of the Caltron out in circulation, if not all the sealed ones... hehe.

    My top 5:

    - Sealed 2600 Glib for $2 at a thrift

    - loose Game Action Replay for $5

I'm drooling just looking at that stack! (Except for the gyrusses and magmaxes) Did you sell these on ebay? I saw the same seller selling alot of these 2 games, I did bid on some but lost all I think 3-4 times.

    - and the big load of about 100 sealed games + from my local Funco. 4 sealed original Zelda 2s, one sealed Skate or Die, about 30-50 sealed contras, 20 sealed QBerts, 5 sealed Friday the 13ths, 5 sealed Athletic Worlds, 10 Xeviouses, 20 Magmaxes, and 20 Gyrusses. Cost me $700, but quite the amount of theoritcal pants shitting when I walked into the store that day.

    Hmmm...

    1) Loose 2600 Q*Bert's Qubes with a bunch of commons, all of which I bought for $8 in '98
    2) CIB Tengen Tetris from a video store that was closing down for $6 in '98.
    3) Gradius II (box, no manual), Holy Diver (CIB) and a Honeybee converter for $20 from a local game store in '94
    4) Alien Soldier (Japanese CIB) for $40 from a visitor to the OPCFG in '00.
    5) Megapanel (Mega Drive - CIB) free in '99.

The first two I no longer have - Q'sQs went to a good home (to a RR member, actually), and Tetris I traded in for about $80 in store credit at a local game store.

Let's See.. My 3 greatest finds would be

    3. Mega Man X2 $30 (Very dirty too... I know it's not that rare but I wanted this so bad and when I found it I was practically bursting with joy!)

    2. Tengen Tetris $6

    1. NES Qix Sealed $9

I know it's nothing spectacular, but these were great finds for me!

Complete NES Game Action Replay for $4 at the same flea (was traded for my MVS motherboard.)

Kiwi Kraze NES prototype for free at EB (hurray to buy one get one free sales and dumb luck.)

Man I just started collecting so I don't have to many good finds in the wild, but these stories give me hope!

    1. Super Star Fox Weekend Cart- $10 game store

    2. Earthbound $5 flea market

yep that's about it. I'm still kicking myself for not buying that Tengen Tetris at gamestop(I didn't collect for the NES at the time.
