Hmm...I've had lots of great finds ($20-$50 titles for $5)....but if I have to narrow it down...

Box of 30 CV and 2600 games with several R4-R6's, most notable being Mr Do!s Castle - $6

Massive box of 54 SMS, SCD, genesis games (with the systems and power base converter) that included choice titles like 2 Alex Kidd's, and Golden Axe Warrior....$30

3 Looney Tunes 5 laser disc box sets ..... $4 total. I sold one of the sets for $98 on ebay a few weeks ago.. (ok technically not games, but I found them while hunting for games :P)

To be absolutely correct a blue playstation isn't a dev system its a debug station.
Actual dev kits are cards that fit inside a PC, early ones ISA, later ones PCI with the PA boards coming even later.
Blues are pretty standard Playstations with the security removed, so they can run off CD-R. They blow up well... Ever dev in the UK has blown at least one up (US and UK power supplies aren't compatible).

Emeralds (green in colour obviously) are later Debug Stations with extra hardware checking to check for legal HW access.

Off the top of my head 3 good software finds in wild (car boot sales) are

    1) Snatcher Pal MegaCD £1
    2) Secret of Mana SNES PAL Complete £4
    3) Jurasic Park Sealed MegaCD £2

He grabbed kung-fu,Xevious,Tag Team Wrestling and Astyanax. I kept my games sealed, though the casual gamer he is of course open his.

Hmmm.. my three best "wild" finds have to be:

    1. Suikoden, PS1, Mint Condition. My Mums friends 8 year old son had it and said it was "crap with crappy graphics." So I "borrowed" it. He'll never notice.. That may make me sound like a bad person, stealing an 8 year olds game but, he's broken several of my PS2 games in the past.. so now were quits..

    2. 108 complete Mega Drive games for £50 at a Car Boot Sale.

    3. My Playstation Lightbox Display (same as speedys) £5 at a Car Boot Sale.

The majority of my great finds have all been charity shops and car boot sales. I wish i found boxes of NES games outside my "evicted neighbours house"..

    1. Virtual Boy boxed with 3 games (Mario Tennis, Mario Clash and Galactic Pinball)
£5 . Got it from a car boot sale here in the UK 3 years ago. It was bought in the US by the sellers son . You should have seen me i was like a giggling loonatic. I tossed him a fiver and ran off with it in search of a pack of duracells!

    2. Mario Allstars and Street fighter 2 turbo edition, boxed Snes's complete £8 each

I can't really think of any others that stand out. I 've had some much over the last few years and i've mainly bought and sold stuff to get other things. Like a few weeks ago i traded a SMS and a N64 i had for a fiver for a boxed Neo Geo Pocket Colour in gamestation.
I get my best finds at Car Boot sales here in the UK. Today i bagged a Dreamcast with 2 joypads and Sonic Adventure for £8!
    STOP! Its HammerTime!

    good topic...

    hmm..

    i guess

#1 atari 2600 controller tester, signal tracing cart, 5200 diagnostic cart, field manuals for 2600, 7800, 5200 and atari computer, instructions for controller tester - FREE but the tester didnt have a power cord...
(if anyone knows who else on this board has a 2600 controller tester please PM me. i can copy the manual, though its kinda crappy. i saw another one in the game room pics but forget who it is)

drops quickly in interest from there

#2 huge tails display tied with ps1/screen store display $80 each. thats kind of expensive, but i havent seen anyone else with these items, so theyre pretty cool.

#3 2600 'heavy sixer' in box with one old style controller(missing logo) and one grey power cord - $5

    #1 6in1 Caltron for $5 at a flea market
#2 NES toploader for $10 from a friend that just bought it for $5, not really knowing what it was, and didn't really want it lol

#3 Me and a friend found this at the local Salvation Army. They were scattered all over the place! All the Battleclashes are sealed, and the 4 scores are as well. The Sattellites are new, but with tape

He also got 3 Neo Geo games there for like $5 complete lol

    Prepare to be amazed:

    1: 2/15/04: I stopped at dwight's (A junk store) And i found a LOT:

    Atari:
    Super Mario/Duck Hunt (Loose)
    Atari 2600 Darth Vader Model
    Atari AC
    Atari 2600 Dust Case
    Atari 2600 Game Holder (4-Set)
About 40 2600 Games (Instructions included)
    Atari 400
    Atari 400 AC
    Lots of atari Controllers
    5 Atari 400 games
Atari 7800 Core System (This one does not work anymore)
    NES:
    Nintnedo NES
    NES RF
    NES AC
    2 NES Controllers
2 NES Zappers (Grey & Orange- the orange one didn't work)

All for $20. Everything needed to be cleaned, Both the contacts and exterior.. Almost everything worked- The 7800 Did work when i got the AC to use it (It does not work anymore, But i have another 7800) Only a few controllers and one game Didn't work when i tested them.

2: Biggest Goodwill NES Deal Ever- 8/06/04:

Well, i was out at goodwill one day, And , You should have seen this!

I'm glad i was there when i was.. The employees were JUST Bringing the stuff out. I got 68 Unique NES games And 3 Unique SNES Games.. 71 Total! And i only had 6 of the games Out of 71. Incredible! Here are some games that i got:

Yoshi's Cookie (And this one is a Very fun puzzle game- It's rewarding)
    Uninvited (Good thriller)
    Burgertime
    Snake Rattle And Roll
    Bubble Bobble
Rare Soccer Game (Not Tengen.. I forget the company's name) R6
    Lolo 1, 2, And 3
    Megaman 2, 3, And 4
    Castlevania 1, 2, and 3
    Hogan's Alley
    Caveman Games
Maniac Mansion (Unforgettable! i wanted this one- Just to blow up the hamster )
    Adventure Island 3
    Super mario/Duck hunt
    Mario 2 & 3
    Deja Vu (Highley reccomended! )

And many more good games.. EVERYTHING WORKS..Everything was loose, But hey.. The price? about $20!!! The one that works the Least is Dr. Mario- it seems to have sat in the sun too long. (It has sunburn- It's 60% yellow instead of grey!) It took me 2 hours to clean & test Every game.

3: Another crazy atari find (I forget the date..)

Tank Brigade (BNEW, Sealed) $2 (This one is a R7 used )
    Night Driver (BNEW, Shrinkwrapped) $3

I've got More Insane deals. In fact, August 2004 Was my Best month for collecting so far.
