Default Question on playing Super Famicom games on the SNES.

I recently cut the plastic pieces out of my SNES so that I could play SFC games

But recently,I've heard stuff about the battery back-up geting erased on SFC games when being played on the SNES.

I was wondering if thats true or not.

Nah, that's BS. I've never heard of such a thing nor have I ever experienced it. Out of all my SFC imports, I've only lost one file (the two others on the cart were fine), and that's less than what I've lost with my SNES games.

I have, however, heard of people having various issues playing SFC games on PAL systems. I don't know if that could erase data, though.

I've never had this problem either. Its more likely the case of a dead battery inside the cart, which are fairly easy to replace.

Yeah, there's no real region protect between Jp and US systems. Shouldn't be a problem at all.
