Which one? The first one, Castlevania Adventure? I beat that one no sweat. :P It tooks me less than a week (of casual off and on playing) to beat it when I played it for the first time ever.

If you're talking about the original Castlevania Adventure, forget it.....that game was way too damn frustrating for me to put up with for more than about 15-20 minutes at a time. And I'm a diehard CV fan, too. Now the sequel, that's a hell of a game, but much easier.

I should beat Castlevania Adventure one of these days, but it's just not good enough for me to really want to play it further.

The Castlevania Adventure was a damned tough game, back in the good 'ol days when Castlevania games were damned hard. It was pretty tough, but it can be beaten. I remember getting to the end, oh, sometime in the early '90s. There's no bloody way in hell that I'd try to go through it all again today, but I'd still pop the game in once in a blue moon. It probably hasn't aged too well, but it was the only game other than Tetris that made we want to touch a Gameboy.

Yeah, I've beaten it. I remember when it came out...I think it took me less than a week. It's VERY hard, but with only four levels,With a little memorization and finding hidden power ups, it's completely doable. LOOOONG levels tho.

The FIRST Castlevania for GB eh.. Funny you should ask.

When did I buy it? The first week it came out.
When did I beat it? About a month ago

Not using cheats? Hell no. I had to cheat it hard :P Actually what I did was I put it onto flashcart via the GB emulator for the GBA. Then used savestates. It played fine albeit a little slower. But heck I just wanted to see the damn ending after all these years.

I'm pretty sure I beat it within a week of getting it. It was my fiirst Game Boy game. Belmont's Revenge is better though.

The ending music, "Theme from 'The Legend of Dracula'," is indeed an awesome piece. The arrangement on the Perfect Selection Dracula Battle II CD is one of my favorite pieces of music, ever.

I can't remember when exactly I beat it, but I did at some point. That was actually the first Castlevania game I ever beat, because I didn't get an NES until after I had my GB (I was always more of a computer-gamer until I got my GB). I remember the castle sinking and it was cool. Tough game but meh - I like a game that makes the palms sweaty. Not too many games nowadays that do that.

I beat it without too much trouble. I bought it back in 1998 or so, if I can remember correctly.

This topic brought back memories. I had owned Castlevania and Batman for about a year or so. They were both gifts from my grandfather the Christmas before he passed. I had tried beating them several times but got so damned frustrating I would just quit.

Anyway, at college back in '92 or '93 it seemed that just about everyone had gone home for the weekend and I was bored stiff, so I just sat there at my desk and pounded away at Castlevania and finally took it down. After beating my chest for awhile and discovering there wasn't much else to do, I decided to tackle Batman and after about an hour claimed victory in that one too.

I figured I was on a role, so I grabbed my roommate's copy of that impossible Spider-Man game and slogged through that one also.

What a useless weekend that was

Hells yes, I've flogged the Castlevania Adventure. Allow me to brag for a slight bit, but I am the Castlevania champion. Only games I haven't beaten are Vampire Killer, as I find it nigh impossible, and Akumajo Dracula X: Chi no Rondo, simply because I lack the technology to play it... so far. But back to the topic at hand, I've conquered the Castlevania Adventure, and no, twas not easy. Drac's second form is just a real pain... I forgot how I beat it. Not with a Game Genie, though.

If ya ask me, Drac was a lot harder in Legends than in Adventure. Everything he did in Adventure was a very simple pattern. On the second form, I think I mainly just stayed on one platform. Just getting through stage 3 and 4 was the most difficult part of the game for me.
