so i finally got a chance to play it via a saturn emulator, and i'm really glad that i didn't shell out 200 bucks for it.

Where did you get the emulator and ROM? I've heard so much about this game I'd love to see it but no way am I paying hundreds of bucks either...

Are you serious? A few minutes on an emulator playing a choppy version of a game that lives and dies by the preciseness of its control and its presentation, and you see fit to judge it? Please tell me this is a joke...

    i bet you did, though

A lot you know. There is more than one way to skin a cat. Mine runs smoove and responsive.

It's worth the money actually. Next chance I get at it when I have the $$, I'm buying it.

    Radiant Silvergun
    Dracula X
    Bounty Bob Strikes Back

My short list of great (non Neo Geo) pricy games. But yeah $200 is a lot of money for a game.

    BTW Avoid Battlesphere!

Yep. ST-V board + RS cart.

Still...not worth the $200+ the Saturn rev goes for. But I've covered that many times before.

It goes for $200? I got mine for like $100 or something last year... Who the hell pays that much for such a common game? I mean, it's one of the best shooters ever made, but it's not exactly hard to find. You'd think the supply and demand thing would take effect here...

You'd think, but since every magazine and website in the universe goes on about how great and rare the game is, everyone assumes tht 200 bucks is a fair price.

    Default RS

IMO RS is one of the few (Panzer Dragoon Saga is another) "rare" games that is actually worth the dough. Think about the other systems' most desired games...at least the Saturn games are fun to play and worth owning without regard to their collectability.

Agreed. After playing the iso on my saturn I would have to say it's not my favorite shooter on the system. I just don't think it lives up to it's legend, or, price tag.

I paid for it and Love it. Though, it's in storage right now. All I did was sell a few dusty items from my basement on eBay and then BANG, I get Radiant Silvergun for simply taking out the trash. yeah baby.

It's worth it. That game has great tunes.

I always knew I would get RS eventually, I did some spot checking and realized it's pretty easy to find. Seen 'em in the $150 -$200 range. That's about what I would spend taking a party of four to dinner. Not unreasonable at all, considering it's reputation. Never understood the emulator or CDR scene. I'm not wealthy and I've been poor. I never mistook being poor for allowing me to screw the system. I thought it meant it was time to get off my ass and do some work. When I want to try it before I buy it, I read reviews. I thought that's what they were for.

Didn't videogamedepot try to sell RSG for like 15 bucks a few years back (before it was famous of course)?

For that price it better be one hell of a dinner. Like, a meal served at one of Emeril Lagasse's restaurants. Hell, for $200 it had better be at Emeril Lagasse's HOUSE.

I actually would spend just about any amount on Radiant Silvergun if that's what it took because it's one of my favorite games from my favorite genre. But if you don't love it then don't worry about it. I just was surprised that it is still rising in price (I thought it cost a lot when I got it!) and I'm disappointed to hear people knock it without playing it more than a few times and without playing it on a decent setup.
