Default Nintendo e-Reader Dot Code Maker

Don't know if this has been mentioned here yet, but it looked pretty cool to me. http://users.skynet.be/firefly/gba/e-reader/index.htm
be sure to check out the Nintendo e-Reader NES Compatiblity List at all working games. The "NES" type are actually mapper 0 roms that run on the built-in NES emulator.
Look like I might pick up a E-Reader now.

Good luck getting readable printouts. I sure as hell couldn't. I think you'll probably need a much-too-expensive printer to get decent results. Heh.

I could, and I used an inkjet printer.

Thats really cool. I think though there would be a whole host of problems trying to run non-native roms on the thing, I doubt for instance one would be able to just convert a rom. Isn't the GBA screen for instance a different aspect ratio than a tv? If so, what would this do to the display output? I have some Honk Kong multicarts of Nes games for the GBA and very annoyingly, you either have to deal with a mushed or cut offed screen.

In any event that site seems pretty cool, deffinately sonething worth checking back in on some time down the road. It would be very cool to be able to just print out your own roms of Nes games rather than waiting for nintendo to come out with them at a snails pace. I'd love to play micro machines and the tengen tetris on my GBA, and since I doubt nintendo will ever release them (I guess they never really did in the first place) it'd be sweet to print my own.

The e-reader doesn't work on the SP does it? oh well, this would give me a reason to get an old style GBA and provide very compelling futher reason to get an e-reader; after all I think you can score most the legit games for $.99!

That's the first time I've heard that. Is that true? I thought there is was no differences between the GBA and SP! If it is true that means I've just wasted a mini fortune on an e-reader I can't use - Bugger

THe E-Reader works fine on the SP. No worries for you there.
I am in fact the guy that made the Raisins prototype worth thousands less by dumping it. "D'oh!!"

Sorry for being off-topic but...Got my E-reader this morning and it's partially compatible! You can't plug it into the link port cos it plugs into the bottom of the consloe not the top like the original GBA! No point getting the Animal Crossing cards then! Why didn't Ninty rerelease an SP specific version?!? Am getting a bit tired of Nintendo these days

The e-Reader is completely compatible with the SP. For Animal Crossing . . . just plug the link cable into the top of the unit and plug the e-Reader into the bottom of the unit. No problems.
