I had around $200 stolen from me sent to some web site a while back. I contacted the site, no reply. I filed a complaint at PayPal, they said nothing was wrong. I was pissed. I let it go.

I don't want $50 back. I want it all back. This is too much work. Unless they can promise to send me a $250 check, I won't bother.

Yes I am eligible because I registered shortly after I got my first Check card in August 2000.

Too much work? I filed it. 5 minutes to fill in the form, and 5 minutes to print it & mail it.

There's some very solid and good information on this here:

Paypal has been very very good to me.

    I think it's a great service.

having said that, I have heard the horror stories, and there have been oodles of problems. If you follow the rules and are carefuly, you have only a low chance of having a problem. Main problems I've heard:
    restricted access to accounts
chargebacks (common problem for sellers- if you stick to registered/verified users only you can avoid this)
    poor customer service
    fees too high (sellers problem)

    Default .

I've opened Paypal account two years ago and haven't had any problem.
for precaution measure I do not keep my c/card nor bank account details on my Paypal account nor keep any fund in there. I transfer or enter c/card when I make the payment and afterwards remove them.

    cheers
