Default Recommend fun import N64 games

So it's gotten to the point where I've played/owned most of the good US n64 games, and i'm looking to expand into import n64 games.

I've heard about Sin and Punishment and also Cusom Robo 64. What are some other fun games that you don't have to read Japanese for (I guess that rules out RPGs )

    Thanks.

Sin & Punishment no question, and Bangai-O as well. Those are the only two I know of.

I'd like to recommend Wonder Project J2 and Getter Love, but if you don't want text-heavy games, those are pretty much out the picture. If you change your mind, I wrote guides on both of them at GameFAQs, and those could help you play through those two great games.

Yeah, Sin and Punishment is a great game, and no knowledge of Japanese is required. Custom Robo is good too, but there is an adventure mode to it that is sort of RPG in style. It's a very small world, though, with no puzzles or anything, so all you gotta do is talk to the right person and the game advances. Custom Robo V2 should be worth picking up as well, but I personally haven't played it yet. It appears to be very similar to the original except it has some improvements such as multiplayer with 4 people (as opposed to the original's limit of 2).

Bomberman 64 is a great version of Bomberman. It's an entirely different game from the title that was released in the US as "Bomberman 64". It's completely 2D, and it has 4 different modes of play. There's traditional Bomberman, Panic Bomber, a Sega Swirl style game, and an adventure mode where you're in a theme park filled with tons of different mini-games. And of course, it wouldn't be Bomberman without the multiplayer. :)

It's kind of hard to describe... think of (Saturn) Panzer Dragoon on foot, with some some side-view boss battles. There's a bunch of shooting going on, some obstacle dodging, and a cool storyline spoken in English (or is it English text? I can't remember.) There's some rail shooting in there as well, plus some of the coolest graphics I ever saw on the 'old N64. I think I shall plug it in tonight! I never finsihed it, though I don't remember it being that hard. It was scheduled for a U.S. release (I saw an interview with Treasure in a magazine) but the N64 market tanked before it could make it out the door. Damn!
