Default Good game stores in Los Angeles?

I'm going to be in LA until the end of the year and I was wondering if anyone on here has some tips. With a city this humongous there ought to be some real gems.

I am mostly interested in independents as most chain stores are, well, chain stores.

I have been to Game Dude in North Hollywood and that one is pretty good, both price and selection wise.

    anywhere else?

    swap meets?

    thrift stores?

    pawn shops?

    arcades?

    etc?

    grateful for any help.

Here in San Gabriel/Alhambra is Import central. Game Star on Las Tunis and New is the one I tend to go to.

    Did you read my post?

Thanks, but I refuse to believe that that is the best store in all of L.A.. Don't get me wrong it is a good store but I've been in better stores in Paris, London, and even Phoenix.

Considering LA dwarfs these cities(with the exception of London) there ought to be something.

I go to game stores regularly in Los Angeles, and just this past weekend I acquired Suikoden II, Spider Man Web Of Fire, factory sealed Ps1 Resident Evil 1, 2, Alpha 1, 2, Street Fighter Collection 2; etc...

Last Weekend I found some SNES and Game Boy Color sealed goodies, and DDR Disney Mix for Ps1. They are out there, but you REALLY need to know where to look. Game Stores in Los Angeles are among the best in the country because there is more competition, so the prices stay low...it all depends on what you are looking for.

Hey, it could be worse. As far as I know, the city of Boston has *3* videogame stores, all EB/Gamestop. There's one more EB up in Cambridge. There aren't even any solid used game/cd type stores.

It was a few miles north of Culver City, near Venice Blvd. The corner of Overland and Palms if my memory serves me.

There was another decent store a few blocks away from there on Venice Blvd. too.
