    I cant believe River City Ransom is viewed so high by people. The obvious is SMB1 and 3 but other then that I would have to say

    Wonder Boy III - The Dragons Trap (Wonder Boy 2 is sweet tho too)

    Metroid. I have memories of fondness and frustration for that game.

    HEY GUYS - there were 8 bit games before Nintendo!

    atari = PITFALL! 2 or space invaders or missile command or asteroids

    arcade = pac-man or defender or marble madness

    computer = Pirates! or Elite
    Wakka Wakka Wakka - CHOMP -

    If you classify the PCE as 8-bit, then it's no question: FEOE/TM Fuun Kabuki Den.

    If not, then Alex Kidd In Miracle World of course.

    I agree with Super Mario 3. I think it's still the best game ever made. Although I must say I'm surprised how few people have mentioned Metroid and Legend of Zelda...

    holy valhalla this is a tough question. GB, NES, SMS, TG16(yeah, yeah, the old argument, but the core is eight bit...) vectrex, coleco..the list goes on..must be considered...basically everything in DP7 plus game boy and game gear!!!:-S

    on that note, i rate this question impossible to answer. However, i'll say Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!!!!
