Default New Brazilian Odyssey2 discovery: 1 cart, 2 games

Not that I'm complaining, but what it is with all the new Odyssey2 games this year? Years with nothing, and in 2004: BAM!

The Brazilian site Odyssey 2000 broke this news: A Brazilian collector picked up an unknown cartridge from an online auction. It contains two games: Missão Impossível ("Impossible Mission") and Viagem Programada ("Programmed Trip"). Amazingly, this cartridge comes not from Philips but from an unknown company: Ectron Eletrônica Ltda. of São Paulo. It's in a uniquely-shaped gray case, with a very cheaply-made paper label. The cartridge really looks like a Brazilian pirate, but since the label credits the Odyssey copyright to Magnavox, and since the games don't seem to be clones of any known Odyssey or Videopac games, who knows?

Missão Impossível is a grid-based strategy contest (the screenshot looks somewhat similar to the Videopac game Depth Charge) and Viagem Programada is some kind of puzzle game. Pictures and screenshots are available on Odyssey 2000 (translated link).

Oh, no news on ROMs yet...

    I don't mind!

It is about time the O2 got some attention! 2004 is the year of the Odyssey2 in my book. And there is probably more to come!!!
