Battletoads Arcade-> Console Port

if none, which is the most enjoyable (this part is opnion, of course)?

Battletoads in Battlemaniacs for SNES is pretty much exactly the same as the original Battletoads for NES, but with enhanced arcade quality graphics, some new bonus stages, and some new bosses. So it's probably even better than the arcade version, as far as gameplay goes, and the graphics are almost as good as they were in the arcade. You probably won't get any closer to it at home, unless you play on an emulator or you buy the actual arcade game.

Battletoads & Double Dragon on SNES or Genesis is pretty good too, but it's not as fun as Battlemaniacs. I'd rather have seen Battletoads & TMNT team up with each other. That would've made alot more sense, and it would've been a way more kickass game too. But if you just love Battletoads, these two games should definitely be in your collection. I have them both myself, but I only have the Genesis version of Battletoads & Double Dragon, which probably isn't quite as good as the SNES version, but at least I do have it.

IMHO I think that battle toads on the nes was the best. Simple sprits that looked cool and a rocken sound trak. BUt the Snes sequal was just crap ugly charictor oddels stupid sound traks and no originality. Get the NES versions there the best.

The NES versions are the best. I've never played the gameboy one, but the rest are all sub par. The arcade version is really fun and pretty violent but I haven't come across a battletoad game that follows it.

Battletoads Double Dragon came out on NES too, and is easily one of my favorite beatemup games ever. It's not viciously hard like the original toads game, but it retains the goofball sense of humor.
