out of all the fighting games ever to come out, who is your favorite character?
you can only choose one.
mine is akuma. although he is a ryu clone, his design is way better. plus he is pure EVIL.
well i have a lot of fav's
When it comes to 2D...my fav's are Iron Man, Ryu, Sagat,Magneto, and Akuma
When it comes to 3D...fav's are Eddy Gordo, Paul, Jin, Bruce Irvin, Nina, Jun, and Lee
I love the smell of spray cans in the morning
The ultimate character is teh ultimate gaming villan, Geese Howard (Fatal Fury series, KOF '96, SNK vs. Capcom). He is just uber.
runners up (in no order):
Rock Howard (Garou/Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves)
Nakoruru (Samurai Shodown series)
Cham Cham (Samurai Shodown 2)
Ken Masters (if you don't know, you're a moron)
Iori Yagami (KOF '95+)
The coolest character from a fighter, for me, would have to be KOF's Clark. I mean, look at him, he is a total badass merc/trucker ;p
Check out the Kleppings!

I can only choose one? Oh well.
I'd have to pick Chun-Li. I selected her when I first played Street Fighter II so many years ago, and I still use her quite often, whether the game is Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Capcom vs. SNK 2, or a nostalgic session of SFII.
My runners-up:
J. Talbain (Darkstalkers)
Leona (The King of Fighters)
Millia Rage (Guilty Gear)
Iori Yagami (KoF)
Seung Mina (Soul Calibur)
For me it's gotta be Ken Masters. I "had" to pick him back in the day, because my greedy best friend always wanted to be Ryu back in the SNES days. (This was the original SF on SNES, and the Champion Ed. code wasn't released yet.) It was his house, his system, his rules. Grr. Anyway, I learned to play with and like Ken, especially when he got his faster, more aggressive multi hit moves like his three kicks and the Flaming Shoryuken. Now, he's my strongest character, since I've been playing with him for more than ten years. I like how his sprite's art has evolved too (ponytail), as well as his storyline. He was always a bit of a loose cannon, but a good person at heart and best of friends with Ryu. The awesome ending at the end of SF Alpha 2, where he gives Ryu his classic red headband, is icing on the cake.
Jedah. The demon personifies mystery, power, and darkness, not to mention he's got some insane attacks. His outfit is the sleekest I've seen. Of all the dark stalkers, this guy is the darkest.
This guy occasionally oozes, and that's another thing... whenever you frequently ooze the remants of the souls you've absorbed in the past, you're pretty much going to be labeled a badass!
On another note, I'm somehow infatuated with Bella from Strip Fighter II. I guess the eagle head dress, the outfit, and the metallic shin gaurds form some kind of union that I just adore.

Yeah, Bella actually isn't half-bad... at least in looks.
I'd probably have to go with Voldo from Soul Calibur. He has lots of variety, and is very strange to fight against. Great for ripping apart people who aren't used to him.
Mine is ShinAkuma,what a bad ass! :P
It's not 2D, but my favorite character would be Yoshimitsu from the Tekken series. He has a sword, that's so cool (and easy for a bad fighter like me )
Second would be Lau from Virtua Fighter. He's cool too, but doesn't have a sword.
It's obviously got to be Billy Kane! (Fatal Fury series, KoF '95, 97/98 and 02). He's angry, he's tough, he loves doing laundry!!! Normally I have no real preferrence for accents, but he just pulls it off in a way that defies explanation! Not to mention his often changing costume and weapon. I mean, wow...a three section staff that converts to a staff at will...now that takes skill to use! He works right under Geese Howard, and has teamed up with the likes of Eiji, Iori Yagami, Ryuji Yamazaki and Blue Mary! This, and he puts up with a hell of a lot (had to take care of his sister growing up, survive on his own in Southtown(!), and get beaten up by his own teammate (Iori)). Now if that doesn't make a man, I don't know what does!!!...and I love that Bandana...
"KILL YOU! GO TO HELL! WHOSE TURN IS IT?!?"

Lemon...Licky...Nub. Yes, I do want one!
Terry Bogard
Best all round guy...
"Q" (3rd Strike)
Choi (KOF)
Cheng (FFRBS)
Lin (KOF 2000, 01)
Lucky, Brian (American Team KOF 94, 98)
Has to Be RYO.....................!
Runner Ups
1. KYO Kusunagi
2. Robert Garcia
3. Ramon( kof 2000)
4. Mr. Karate
Thanks
ken from sf2 turbo
Mine would have to be Onslaught from MvC.
Hes just about the coolest looking boss Capcom has come up with and he's really powerful without being pathetically cheap like Gill, overpowered like SF2 Bison, or a pushover like Thanos
