    Default DDR Ebay purchase help

Can anyone let me know if this is a decent pad and game? I want to buy my daughters a DDR game and pads for the PS1, and I see this and similar sets all the time on Ebay. I'm not into DDR so I have no clue what is good and what is crap. Any help would be appreciated.

Those look pretty close to official Konami pads, meaning they're good. Any soft pad is good for a beginner, really. And DDR Konamix is the best PS1 DDR available in the U.S.

If money isn't a problem and you want your daughter to have lots of fun I would get a hard pad. They cost 100-200 ish, but they are MUCH better than soft pads, believe me.

(Doesn't own Konamix) I got myself a a DPR2 pad. I wanted an original pad or metal, but couldn't find any in stores. And as for the metals, I have no $. The ones in that pic look like the official ones.

I hate the soft pads.. nothing worse then stepping back and nothing..

You might want to consider the redoctane ignition pads. they run $100 each, but they're awesome. Best soft pad on the market.

    Quoted for truth.

If your daughters are just starting out though, the pads in this auction are fine until they get to the Maniac-level songs. Then they will probably start bugging you for an Ignition pad.

All hard pads suck. They all will break, whether it be in 6 months or a year, or two years. Do it right and get the quality Cobalt Flux pads. ($600 for a 2 player setup).

Those stay cool pads aren't very good either. Stick with the official Konami pads, or the previously mentioned Red Octane pads.
