I have no favorite modern system..I play everything..
    .It's all about the games..

I did vote for the Xbox though..because it's the system I've been playing the most until today..and I made some good money with some Xbox items..

I do have an promotional Xbox window hanging item in my car,,(back window) ..and I wear and Xbox t shirt all the time.

But I still don't really have a favorite..it depends on the game I'm playing..
Tomorrow night I will continue playing Metriod Prime on the GC..
And at lunch time tomorrow my friend is coming over to play a bunch of Dreamcast games we haven't played for awhile..
If I get something new for the PS2 or an old Neo Geo cart..I will be playing these systems a lot..
I don't think I would collect other systems and games as much as I do if I had a Favorite system..

GameCube for me. I definitely play it the most, and I'm always getting excited about a new Cube game. All the other systems are good too. All of them come in second place...except for Xbox, it comes in third. :P

I have to agree with NvrMore - GameCube has the quality, even if it doesn't have the quantity. I purchased a PS2 because I had never owned a PSOne and wanted to get my hands on all those Square RPGs and Castlevania: SotN. I enjoy the PS2, but I suppose I'd forgotten how long-winded and linear the Square RPGs are, and the only PS2 game I've played that I really enjoy is Maximo.

Metroid Prime, Mario Sunshine (I never played much of Mario 64), and Zelda WW - those are great games.

When I play Prime, I get the same feeling that I got first playing the NES in the mid-eighties. It's like I've rediscovered gaming a second time or something, I don't know.

I voted for the PlayStation due to it's library of games (which is what matters to me). Mostly for the great RPGs on it.

    Default Xbox

I think the Xbox is the best Video game system because of the hard drive.

    I voted Xbox...but.
I really do like the dc. The games were ahead of thier time.
But some of the games on the xbox are amazing.

i cant believe dreamcast has the most votes! thats crazy cool!!
way back before ps2 had come out i was still playing on my n64. i was only in 5th grade and i worshiped nintendo and regarded everything else as the devil especially sega. and the dreamcast seemed to have the n64 beat out at least thats how it seemed to me and that pissed me off. so then ps2 came out and i was the only person i knew who decided to wait for gamecube, me being a nintendo fanboy pretty much. i waited a whole nother year and then i decided screw nintendo ima get a ps2. so i did. and then i got an xbox. and then i realized that dreamcast had it going way back in 5th grade, so now im getting as much dc stuff as i can!

Are allowed to have 4 favorites? :P I guess not. I voted on this so long ago that I can't even remember which system I voted for. It was probably before I even got an XBox...I would probably lean towards the GameCube due to the major franchise games that have been done exceptionally well (Metroid Prime, Zelda, Starfox...and hey, I like Mario Sunshine, too...though some didn't for some reason). I also enjoy the PS1 and PS2 but have gotten a ton of XB games since I finally broke down and bought the system earlier this year...

Call me the Charlie Brown of the DP set...I'm just so wishy-washy...

Dreamcast. It has the best quality to quantity ratio of any system released, IMO. And we're talking variety. RPG, racing, action, adventure, sports - it has it all and it seriously does it all well.

Although Dreamcast is my favorite and I consider the X-Box it's spiritual successor(long story), I actually play PSO Plus almost exclusively on Gamecube and various games on transit with my GBA(soon to be replaced by a DS as soon as FFIII comes out).

It changes for me, even though I said PS2.

PS2....the reasons that I like this system most of all are A) a huge library of affordable titles, B) my favorite franchises are only on that system C) the later versions ARE far more durable.

Dreamcast....gotta root for the underdog, at least it IS with the general public. I'll forever remember seeing Soul Caliber running on one on launch day. 128-bit....holy crap!!! People talk about the lack of durability in the PS2? The Dreamcast was worse by comparison. You don't even want to know how many we warrantied. I love it because it brought me Shenmue.

Cube....I'm a sucker for Nintendo. Durable, robust machines. Great first party software. When Nintendo are on, they're ON. The first controller that fits me to perfection.

XboX....what a sheer powerhouse. Gotta love the harddrive. IMO they came out with a fizzle, exploded with a bang as THE alternative to the PS2......and now they're fizzling again. Not much to play in terms of software, far too many delays. When the XboX was in development Microsoft promised us a powerhouse gaming system supported by unique, exclusive software. That didn't last long.....now the system is filled with portovers. You can't support a system for long on Halo, Halo, Halo. You've gotta give these guys credit for being ambitious, but IMO it's turning out to be a bunch of hot air.

It's close between DC and GCN, but in the end DC has more games I like, and I can play classics on it without modding.

Gamecube, much better quality over quantity.

    Second would have been DC.

Hmm, never posted here before, so I'm voting for the PC.

I definitely am a bit miffed about the no N64 thing (Raedon pointed that out in 2002 :P ) but as the PC has been my most used games machine for ages it's hard to discount it. The FPS genre is stale overall (and that's what PCs are known for!) but now and then a standout title appears. I've even had fun watching games being played (World of Warcraft, yesterday). If there's a system that refuses to go away, it's the PC. I also use it for emulation (easier than hooking up the old systems and in some cases it's saved me the expense of buying an old console, though that's only a temporary measure), and as some folks talk about how they looove their XBox for doing just the same thing I'll roll with that as well.

There are a few games that I love on the PlayStation, but as much as I like the system it seems every time I get a game for it there's a little problem. Well, I just BIN'd both (PSX) Medievil games last night complete for $10 or so, and if anything's true it's that you just don't run out of games on the PlayStation.
