Default A cool site to find VG stuff -- Craig's List

There is a cool site called Craig's List that allows free want/for sale ad postings. The electronics section has a decent selection of video game stuff from people. There is a Craig's List for most major cities. Check it out!

I got my Saturn from there last year with a load of games for $30 bucks. Good stuff.

Check out the personal adverts and "want" ads for sexual services, absolutely hillarious.

Jive3d is right - there are some serious pervs in the personals section...

But in the electronics there are often nifty deals to be had.

Doh why no linky for Richmond!

So is this a pick up auction/ad system or is it on the honor system for people to actually ship you the item.

As far as I know, most deals go down face to face.

Yup tons of thrifts and pawns here. Unofrtunately too many ebayers that make hunting them their occupation so I don't often find much.

On the site listed if you check under Norfolk, there were a few Richmond items. Not much but there wasn't much there anyway for this area.

As an aside, we really need to track down all the Virginia collectors and have a meet or convention. There are quite a few around now.

There are a few, I think there used to be a private club somewhere in SE VA too...When I worked at funco the same guy used to come in every once in awhile and drop 100+ bucks on nintendo/genny games and said they were for his club meeting trade session...He was a little Dhalmerish so I didn't ask when/where it met.

    What a winner!

I guess the cat's out of the bag now, Craigslist has been my "secret" here in the San Jose area since I moved up here (and in LA before that!). I've gotten a few good deals but for every good deal there are ten "I could sell these this on Ebay for $20 each so since you don't have to pay shipping I'm gonna sell it for $25!" Ridiculous.

Definately a good site, I got a playstation and a dreamcast from it, also a broken 3DO... But all in all I have had a good experience. My gf uses it all the time for other electronic stuff and has enjoyed great success.

So much for it being my little secret... jk, it seems to be frequented by vg collectors in the greater bay area a lot; the rare stuff is often hard to get before someone else snatches it up.
