    Default DC Irony

I'm having a weird problem with both of my sport Dreamcasts. I've been triing to play some NBA and NFL action on them. Namely NBA 2K1 and NFL 2K2.

For some strange reason, half way through a game, the Sport DCs will reset them selfs. On one ocasion the voices cut out for a mintue and then it reset. Yet my normal DC doesn't have this probem. Both disks are fine with very minor scratches. No other games have coused me these problems.

So what could be causing this? Is there a difference other then the black case from sport DCs to the normal versions? Thanks for the help.

It sounds to me like a overheating problem. I'm not familiar with what kind of cooling sytem the DC uses, but I would open it up and check it out.

There's been a lot of talk about DC reset problems lately. Hit search for help.

Clean the internal PSU posts. That usually solves resetting problems.

This is different thenthose, I'm shure. I don't play these sports for very long maybe 5 minutes tops. But I've played other games for hours at a time and have never come accross these problems. So I know that they are not having a power supply problem.

Plus like all my systems they get a check up and clening before they are used.

Check the fan on the sides of the systems. It sounds like it is getting to hot. The PS2 turns itself off like that when it gets to hot.

Not that either I'm affraid. theres nothing by them. They sit on top of a wooden surface with nothing blocking the fans. When DCs over heat they stop reading discs but don't reset.
