Default Quest for the Rings parts count question.

While at a thrift store the other day I picked up a copy of The Quest for the Rings for the Odyssey 2. I am wondering if I have all the parts to the game. Here is a breakdown of what my copy came with:
    Box(nice artwork!)
    Plastic overlay
    gameboard
    big manual
    cart
23 brown "chips" with a castle symbol on the top of them
8 rectangular white chips with an eye symbol on them
14 coins the size of a penny with different symbols on them

If I am missing parts is the game still playable with what I have? I know nothing about the Odyssey 2 system. How much does one cost? I am mainly a Genesis/Snes/TG-16 guy but this game looks very cool and it seems like it would be fun to play. Are there other games like this for the Odyssey 2? Any info/help would be great

    Google is my friend.

As far as the worth, my quick search shows that you can buy it online for $30 at www.goatstore.com.

    Here ya go:

There were 3 Master Strategy games for the Odyssey 2.
Unfortunately, everything is super-cool about Quest for the Rings EXCEPT the gameplay.
There's some fun to be had, especially back in 1982, but I get much more enjoyment from the art design and the pieces. The character classes are priceless.

Check out mor eof the Odyssey 2 homepage for more information.
I personally like the Odyssey 2 for several reasons - the joysticks are really great, the graphics have a bright candy-quality that I like, and some of the games are classics - UFO, KC Munchkin (I & II), Invaders from Hyperspace, and Killer Bees are some of my favorites.
Just don't expect TOO much from it!
It's only a game if you PLAY it!

Since you have the manual to The Quest for the Rings, pages 22 and 23 list all of the components of the game.

    The other Master Strategy games:

    Conquest of the World
The Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt

There was a prototype of a fourth Master Strategy game based on Sherlock Holmes. I believe one copy was found but it is unplayable without the instructions.

I guess it would have helped if i had opened the manual to see the parts list :P It appears I am missing 2 ring tokens, 1 dragon Monster token and the hourglass token. Conquest of the world looks like a cool risk clone.

Yup, Conquest is like Risk but instead of rolling the dice for outcome of the battles, you play games similar to Atari 2600 Combat.

I have all three Master Strategy games but the only complete one is The Great Wall Street Fortune Hunt. I'm missing just a few of the Quest parts just like you.
