Good call. Before I traded my 32X for a Playstation (stupid, stupid...) I'd spend countless hours playing Tempo and Knuckles' Chaotix. I still haven't had a chance to try Chaotix on 2-player, and I still want to play the pizza minigame in Tempo again. Anyone got some 32X hookups they'd be willing to trade for some loose SNES carts?

You can play CD games, only you can't open the door completely. It will open it enough for you to insert the disc, though.

I have run that way my CDX/32X combo for what? 2 years?

    It sits perfectly.

It can open the hatch enough to get in or out the CD.

    It runs smoothly.

I believe that regulation has more to do with how many microchips and transistors were supposed to be nearby according to the FCC rather than a REAL menace.

Any words about "Don't do it" "It will not work" "you will burn your CDX" are merely urban legends.

    Period.
...No more, it's over, I'm on to you and your evil games...

Yeah, like I said - I had mine set up like that for ages and had no problem. Didn't use a spacer at all (easier to open the CD tray with no spacer in the way).

I liked the set up because it was so compact compared to all the other 32X CD set-ups. And the Multimega with 32X in bore a passing resemblance to the Starship Enterprise, which appeals to my nerdy sense of aesthetic harmony.

Yep. I'm that much of a geek.

Since the Federal Communications Commission is only interested with airwaves, the likely answer is that the CDX and 32x...somehow...must create interference when used together.

Heh, and I know folks who've taken shielding off their N64s
