You know you do not need to modify your N64, if you get a Gamebit you can pull apart the N64 cart and replace the Japanese cart back with an American one so that it will fit nicely in the US cart slot. I am sure that there are a lot of cheap US N64 games that would be prepared to give their lives for such a nobel cause.

Bangai-O for N64 doesn't seem too expensive...if you're thinking about it, then, you probably should get it. $50/complete on eBay, roughly (maybe up to $60), which isn't bad for something rather rare/uncommon.

Actually, last time I saw it it wasn't too bad! Take a look at eBay. Darn spendy for an N64 game, but not bad considering it's one of Treasure's most playable games (which means, of course, that it's insanely good).

Not to make a +1, but Sin & Punishment is truly fantastic. Everyone deserves to have a go at it. It really doesn't get much better. It also has a very cool art style and soundtrack, typical of most Treasure games.

Sin and Punishment is an absolute must-have.

I like the Doraemon games. They gave me my fix of 3D platforming after I had beaten Mario 64 a bazillion times...

    Evangelion 64 is worth owning.

Pikachu Genki De Chu is actually a pretty good way to practice your Japanese, lol. If you're into that kind of thing....

Mario 64 "Shindou" version uses the rumble pak, and was only available there. I consider this a must-have due to my Mario 64 obsession. I believe that either Waverace or Pilotwings (possibly both) were released in "Shindou" versions as well....
