Default Got my first arcade machine!

So I went over to the local vendor and picked this up for $150. A little high for an empty cab I guess, but it's handmade, and everything is almost brand new-the guy who built them was a vendor who was frustrated with the lack of quality in the generic jamma cabs he was getting so he built 4 or 5 of these. He went out of business and the vendor I bought these from bought them. a

Alright, enough of my yappin. Pics!

From the front. Note the absence of monitor. Gotta pick one of those up.

It's a pretty deep cabinet. I don't know why there's all that extra space.

Is this a jamma harness? Is it complete? If so, yay!

Underside of the control panel. From the looks of the button layout (2 joysticks, 4 buttons each in 2 rows of 2) like this was originally a neo-geo control panel that got turned into a bowling game of some kind. Well, it's going back to Neo Geo now!

And finally, the coinbox. Not much to see here, but everything looks brand new.

Anyway, any thoughts on what I should do next? I need to take off the buttons and the trackball and install the new controls. I also need a 19" monitor. Any idea where I can pick a good one up cheap? Any other ideas or opinions are greatly appreciated

I just wanted to confirm that yes, that is the ugliest marquee ever.

    Ever.

Nice, I've been kicking around the idea of picking up a Ms. Pac-Man cocktail that I saw at a thrift store a couple of towns over. It's a bit pricey though, I believe they wanted $650.

P.S. good luck with Mr. Do's Wild Ride.

Have you considered turning that into a Mame/emulation cabinet?

Or are you set on running true Jamma/NeoGeo?

Isn't it just the greatest feeling - squeezing your first cabinet through the door of your home for the very first time? Congrats!
