Default The Casio Loopy: Sexiest-looking console I'd never heard of

I hope nobody minds me making a thread because I'm new, but I just had to comment on this thing.

I consider myself fairly well-versed in game knowledge, but I'd never heard of the Loopy. It's not even in the Rarity guide anywhere that I saw. But wow, it has a cool-looking casing. I'm tempted to hunt one down just for the look of it in my room.

    V Madden: "BOOM!" V

So, I wondered why I'd never heard of the system before. After reading about it, I think I understand now. Seeing as how I find out it was targetted for girls, and the only games for it were doll-dressing sims. Mama-mia, and they didn't see this failing?

It doesn't look exactly... um... "good" from my perspective, but maybe I'm naive. Has anyone seen/played/heard about the Loopy before?

At least it comes with a sticker-printer. That's pretty unique.

Oh, and here are the couple of sources I looked at:

Weird. Can't say I've ever heard of it. Of course, I do have testicles.

Any idea what other types of games or software it played?

That is the worlds biggest eject button. Seriously I'm mesmorised by it... anyways. To me it just looks like one of those V-Tech computers they sold all the time in k-marts. The things that try to get you to learn but all you do is play lame edutainment games. Kinda like that new "video game system" they keep marketing today... whatever the hell it's called.

I've been trying to find out more, but there doesn't seem to be very much English info about the game on Google. Just that at least a couple (or all) of the games involve customizing and dressing anime girls like paper dolls, then printing them out with the Loopy's built-in printer. That's about all I've gathered so far.

And yes, that is a monstrous eject button. Makes you think that the game will hit the ceiling of your room if you punch it hard enough.

    Have you tried Assembler?
If there's nothing on their site, there will be folks in their forum who know about it, I'm sure.

There was a big post on this system either on here or atari age a couple months ago.

I have heard of the system, but knew very little about it...I've seen for sale a few times on Yahoo Japan and even ebay once or twice. I've also seen it mentioned briefly on a few sites, but nothing ever very in-depth.

Definitely not a common system, which explains the lack of info on it. Of course, it wasn't popular, is my guess, which explains the rartity and the lack of info.

I don't think they really sell for too, too much when you find them, because there's really not much demand for them.

Oh, and that printer thing I always thought was pretty freaky!

PS...the system looks like it has boobs.
