    does anybody know the exact type of bit needed to open a genesis cart?

    I believe it's the 4.5mm bit that looks exactly like the NES 3.8mm one. I got mine from eBay.

    Try MCM Electronics online catalog number 22-1476. It includes the NES bit also and is $10. Been a while since I ordered them tho. Hope that helps.

    yea.. you have to watch MCM they have a flat rate of 8 bucks and they don't have a shipping calculator. so if you order one 72 pin from there it will cost you more for shipping then the 72 pin connector, and you won't know you had to pay high shipping until you actually get the item (or call the bank.) but on the flip side, just order 10 72 pin's and a screwdriver set and you won't eat the shipping cost..
