I have seen these 2 or 3 times on ebay. Definatly neat stuff. I also saw a GPS system for the GBA. Some wireless magazine had that as well as the glucose meter. Neat stuff.

yea ive actually seen this thing run before, my dad owns a singer store and i remember seeing it there for awhile. it was a pretty big gimmic, you basically ran sewing patterns from the gbc, my only guess is that it was cheaper to use a gbc then a built in lcd back then.

*edit - i just asked my dad, he said the thing did'nt sell well at all, and they pulled it off the shelves pretty quickly. he's not sure why they used a gbc for it, his guess is the same as mine. from what he remembers the machine came packed with the game and you had to buy a gbc seperatly, he said hell look for some ad's on the thing later, if he gets them ill post them later.

I imagine you could get plenty of info by feeding www.meetizek.com to www.archive.org .

I saw this awhile ago when I was looking to buy a sewing machine. I have a great idea as a business venture, just no money to do it, and haven't really got any sewing skills.

Actually, they came with the GBC:

I have a flier somewhere and I'll try to scan it if I could find it.

Meanwhile, I just won one from Ebay yesterday. The sewing machine doesn't work but its cosmetically sound and I need it for a photo for the next edition of Phoenix.

If you look up "sewing" in the search you'll fiund mention of this in previous threads...

Very interesting cart, though. I always thought carts like this should be in the lists, along with stupid dictionaries and things like that, but the DP crew puts only games in there, I believe.

Looks like manuals for this are available if we can find out the part number.

I gave Singer a ring. Looks like the model is 1500. Manual is $15.

Replacement parts list. Looks like there's a factory and a buyer's model number. Weird. The cart isn't on the parts list...

Lol, sorry for so many posts in a row on this.

Spoke to a Singer rep and she said they sold out of the cartidges less than 6 months ago. She didn't remember the exact price, but she said they went for somewhere between $60 and $100. Too bad, I was hoping to see how they came packaged by buying one.

I got the instruction bookllet today in the mail...it was about $15. There's a lot of info on how to use the cart in there. But I'm drunk and it's 4:45, so I'm going to bed. Lemme know if you need moe details.
