Forgive the threadjack, but does anyone know of a site with a listing of PAL PS game numbers? I thought it might be fun to try and collect the first 50 or so instead of going at it randomly.

please note that not every number (be it SLES or SCES) was assigned to a game - that's why there are so many (big) gaps in the list.

Why would that be - out of interest? would it be because some games were commissioned but not released or some other reason?

yes, that's the main reason. the second reason are different country releases throughout Europe where the english version got (for example) SLES 02345 and the german one SLES 02347.

In the US, at least, many empty slots are numbers given to games which were never released. That is, the game got to somewhere in the approval process, but was not actually published.

Yes, SCES-00048 is correct. Most of the demo discs have SCED or SLED prefix but there are exceptions like this. Another which springs to mind is the V.I.P. demo (SCES-00236) sent to people who mailed the console registration card to Sony.

Thanks for that Gary - now if I can only find them all in decent shape! I think I'll skip the demo discs though. I did get up to 00250 by punching the numbers into Google but only got hits on about half of them.
