    Default Nintendo pogs!

As some of you may know I'm an Earthbound nut, so when these popped up on ebay for the first time ever, still attached to the card and in mint condition nonetheless, I had to jump on it

The auction also included the nintendo pogs sitting next to the earthbound ones, and they got me wondering. Are there other nintendo pogs out there? If there are I'd love to see them. Does anyone have any lying around from the 90s?

I'm not sure if I have the full sets, but I remember buying the Megaman X and Super Metroid ones back in the day.

I also owned the pog board/slammer/container.

I may still have that too

Steve Allen invented the pog, you know.

And I've got some Nintendo ones somewhere. Probably stashed in a box.

Whoa... does that ever bring back memories.
I'm SURE I had those as one point. Either that, or my best friend did.

I sadly lost all my pogs several years back, But i did have an assload of nintendo pogs. They were doing a promotion with best buy, and they were just handing out handfuls of them.

That name sounds familiar. Who is he?

Steve Allen was an actor who also hosted several talk shows. IMDB Entry And according to a season six episode of the Simpsons, "Round Springfield", he invented the pog.
