It's hard to find a "real" woman. They almost all use some fake process to make themselves more beauitful. Like coloring their hair blonde. Or lips red. Or more extreme, silicone breasts.
TERA PATRICK: And then there are the models and actresses.... well, airbrushing, leg-strecthing, digital photo editing always halps there. Plus plastic surgery. For example, I'll bet none of the girls in Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit issue are natural. They've all been physically enhanced and digitally altered on a computer via PhotoShop.
A non-fake woman is hard to locate. x_x
So since the models and actresses I admire are all fake, I might as well admire fake computer women. Ditto hand-drawn or painted women.
I've seen better...
I would have oted but I don't see an option for a minus 3.
Another day, another dollar... wake me when it's payday.
still playing games
I think I'll resist the nonsensical knee-jerk smartass response of "get a real woman" and instead offer an honest opinion. I like the dreadlock thing that Rikku's got going on, but the outfit's just too blatant in the T & A factor. (Subtlety is the key to attractive characters, I think.) Still, it's less disturbing now that she's past her jailbait phase from the original Final Fantasy X.
"Women wear make up, so I'll stay home and beat off to a video game"
Classic.
Nah, I'm equal opportunity. Real or polygon or painting or silicon-enhanced, I enjoy it all.

Yeah, how do I explain this?
If I were to see a real girl dressed like that, I'd get "happy".
When I see a computer or animated girl dressed like that, my mind immediately begins to process what a real girl would look like in it instead. I don't get that same "happy" feeling. It IS nice to look at, but it doesn't tickle the ivories, as they say. I don't know where they say that, probably Vaudeville, but you know what I mean.
The graphics are good enough, that I just don't see the difference. Hell, Rikku COULD be real for all anyone here knows, maybe they modeled her after someone and you probly wouldn't even be able to tell from a side-by-side comparison.
P.S. I don't own DOA3 or DOA Volleyball, or BMX XXX. I don't go out of my way looking for hot videogame chicks or anything, but since the PS1 and PS2 came out, the graphics are good enough, that videogame chicks ARE hot. Not my opinion, Fact.

You know, it's one thing to play along and discuss how attractive a video game female is, but once you start confusing them with real-life women, the problems begin. I'm sure SylentWulf knows that, though.
And on a related note, I wonder how many Rikku cosplayers I'll see at anime conventions this year.
Well, call me Pinocchio then because I stand by my statement. If that's your bag, cool. Go with it. Some people are sexually aroused by stuffed animals, and I don't understand that either. But as long as no one gets hurt, it's all yours.Originally Posted by Sylentwulf
BTW, even with my glasses off, I can tell that's CGI. The graphics aren't THAT good...yet.
Alrighty then.Originally Posted by Sylentwulf
I don't know how to articulate my feelings on this any better. I know they look really good, but the graphics of a computer generated woman simply don't "do it for me". You say you can't see the difference - to me there are simply NO SIMILARITIES. Wish I could explain it.
On a stranger note, I bought DOA Volleyball and still haven't opened it! OK maybe I'll get to that now, I'm open-minded enough to believe my mind could be changed on this concept.
