    Default Sega CDX PSU Question

If someone could grab their Sega CDX power supply and let me know the Voltage, mA, and the polarized orientation of the tip.

Or, will a Sega Genesis 2, 32X power supply work?

    Thanks!

I can check for you when I get home, if someone doesn't help you out by then.

    Ok...

    Model # MK-4122
    Input: 120 V AC 60 Hz 23 Watt
    Output: 9.5 V DC 1.5 amp

That's all it says. I'm not sure how to check the polarized orientation cause I'm not familiar with that term. I'm fairly certain that the CDX power supplies are different than other ones though.

@ maxlords. Polarity orientation refers to the little diagram that looks like a circle surrounded by a C with a + on one side and a - on the other. The circle represents the center. A wall wart adaptor is usually refered to as center negative or center postive depending on the diagram. Some electronics can be fried easily if you have revered poliarity power supply on it.

    Thanks,

for the polarity, online, the easiest way to do it is using the @ symbol. The outer part is the outside, and "a" is the center. Thanks for checking!

If it turns out that it's a specialized power supply, I have an extra (I got it in a box of stuff when I helped clean out a friend's game shed).

Ok..I checked and the polarity is from left to right : - @ +
Or in other words, a little negative in a diamond, then a circle-thing, then a little positive in a diamond...all connected by a little straight line. Hope that helps!

    Thanks everyone (especially Maxlords!)

This is one thing I don't have on my website that someone contacted me about, and just to be sure I asked so I don't point him in the wrong direction and accidently fry his system.
