    Default Goodwill Hunting

So many people say that Goodwill is a great place to get games. I don't understand that, because the Goodwill near me SUCKS! It's a big one too. I've been in there at virtually every time of the week at some time or another, and there's always just the same two duck hunts sitting there looking lonely. I have rarely seen anything else, just a Sonic or two and that's it. What's the deal, anyone got any Goodwill tips?

I've found that with Goodwills it's REALLY hit and miss to find stuff at em. Usually they have jack crap unless it's a big one. But what happens is that if you hit it ALL the time, every once in a while you're score something good. Just expect a lot of strikeouts first

Yep, I try to hit the goodwills at least 3 times a week..

Last year I found several NES games (probably 20 or so) for $1-3
    4 SMS commons for $3
    12 Genesis games for $1.99-$3
1 SNES game DKC for $1
    a mint vader 2600 w/ 20 games for $20
    A boxed Vic-20 and C64 $5 each
    a box of brand new 800 DS/DD 5.25 floppies $7.00
3 broken portable 16:9 Sharp DVD players that I got 2 to work $25!
    32 old Nintendo Power Mag's .10 cents
    2 boxed Nintendo Powerpad's $4.99

but also there were tons of items that I had to pass on..

countless common 2600 games for $4.99
An original Mac all browned and nasty for $60.00 HaH!
more then one controller/gun/whatever that they wanted MORE then what the item cost retail.
lots of broken things that were put out but didn't work or were cracked/painted on for twice what I'd pay.

GW really stinks around here too. I think Scooterb23 will agree that in all of south central Ohio they rarely get any games at all.
