Default What was the last game you bought with pocket change?

Today I stopped by the Dakota Boys Ranch Thrift Store (a local chain of Thrift Stores) on my way home from work. I was searching for a belt buckle, but instead I found a copy of Sol-Feace for Sega CD for $0.20.

I never had a copy of Sol-Feace, but I remember enjoying it quite a bit at friend's houses when Sega CD was actually a top-of-the-line system. I was excited to pick it up with the money I had in my pocket (exactly $0.22).

I thought it would be interesting to hear about other's pocket-change finds. The ones where you can buy a new (to you) video game for less than a gumball in the KMart entrance.

Sorry if this topic has been discussed in the past. I'm a lurker.

That would be Super Mario/Duck Hunt combo from Funcoland a few years ago. It was 9 cents and I haven't seen or bought anything that was less than a dollar.
Another day, another dollar... wake me when it's payday.

2600-Stampede .25 cents salvation army.. I actually already had the game but I had probably 2 dollars in change in my pocket and it's just fun throwing .25 cents on a counter and walking away with something better then a huge hollow ball of bubble gum.

2 or 3 weeks ago I bought a Sonic the Hedgehog children's book at a Savers thrift store for $0.51. That was fun. Don't remember the last time I got an actual game for pocket change though.

I remember finding ladybug for the colecovision for like $ .29 cents. The cool thing about it was it was when the system was still around and the game cost $25.00 new. It was a Montgomery Ward closing down and I think it was a returned loose cart. It was so cool to find in the various odds and ends. I think I even asked the guy if it was $29.00 because I couldn't believe it was there in the junk pile for that cheap. It is still one of my favorite games.

On a slightly unrelated note, it's funny that you mentioned Stampede for 2600. As I said in my first post, I was looking for belt buckles when I found Sol-Feace. You see, I have an old Activision Stampede belt buckle, that I've worn for years and years. Unfortunately, the metal part that attaches to the belt broke after years of abuse. I was looking for belt buckle parts to fix my Activitision buckle.

Has anyone ever seen the Stampede belt buckle? I've always wondered if they made other ones.

A few years back I got a Coleco Telstar (the first one) for $1.00, but I paid in quarters, at a Salvation Army in Ternton, does that count?

It's Dylan from the Magic Roundabout. All the english guys will know what I'm talking about. The show was basically a drug induced flight of fantasy, and each character represented a different drug. Dylan was marijuana.

This may be cheating but in Canada we have $1 and $2 coins. I was in a Salvation Army and picked up Ultima 4 for the Atari 400 / 800 XL's XE's (according to the sticker on the box) for $2. When I checked to see if it was complete and noticed an extra clothe map. It was for Ultima 2. There was also a CD ROM. The Complete Ultima 7. I plan on selling everything on eBay as I don't collect computer games. I've already sold the Ultima 2 map. Check it out.
