Default Multiple copies of a used game- How do you decide?

You walk into one your local stores and find multiple copies of a title you want. How do you decide which one to get when the copies have a small flaw of one thing or another?

I think I get what you're saying, but the poll part needs to be reworked because it doesn't really mesh with your question.

The poll is confusing, but I obviously always get the best copy.

The only disc media I buy is Dreamcast games and those cases can't be replaced
easily (if at all) I think you're poll needs some work

(PS1 cases are also imposible to replace)

It always depends on the price difference. $2 to $3 dosen't make a diference,
just get the best one. $10 to $20 get the cheapest one, unless it ultra rare
and underpriced even for the highest one (then you'd probably get both )
    or......

This really can't be a poll because theres to many variables

I check the label.. best one wins even if someone has used a marks-a-lot their name onto the plastic.

What do you mean? Just buy some empty jewel cases, swap out the instructions and tray card and voila! New case in five seconds!

Or did you mean Saturn cases?

Maybe they do things differently in the land down under, but NTSC U/C DC and PSX/PSone cases are easily replaced with standard CD cases. The only difference you would see is the presence of the "Compact Disc" logo on the spindle piece, where the game cases originally had blank rectangles. (If this is what makes it "impossible", well, then I guess it IS impossible, technically.) I routinely replace case parts for my disc media when they get cracked or when the spindle won't hold a disc any more.

    Longboxes are another matter...

OK, I'm confused too. What are you asking here? If there's multiple copies of the same title, of course you're gonna get the one in the best condition. I don't understand how CDs with scratched cases relate to carts with the labels peeling off if the question was about multiple copies of the same title.

And you totally lost me on "Same title- different prices?!" You should add an option for "What 'chu talkin' 'bout Kaine23?" I'd pick that one.

    Lucky bastards :-(

Don't get me started on Saturn cases >

go here and have a look at a PAL case it dosen't show the depth
of the case though which is the real killer, cant even replace the inside GD
holder part if the pins come off because its connected to the blue spine
    part >

PS1 games are also too deep to replace and they have playstation embossed
on the edges of the case.

I guess they thought specialised game storage racks wouldn't sell if
the media would fit into a normal CD rack. >

While were on the subjust, how do you get marker off a cart?

I try not to get marked carts, but I couldn't pass up NES Ninja Turtle Tournament Fighter for 2 bucks.
I am in fact the guy that made the Raisins prototype worth thousands less by dumping it. "D'oh!!"

NES carts rule in this area the laminated lable holds up better than
some Atari carts, just pour some Metho on it and rub off with a rag or
    something
If the marker is on the cart itself.....Same thing
