What did the FF:CC Crystal White Edition Gamecube box look like? Was it a regular box or did it have something special on it?

It was a all white special box.
Always wanted one of these. But being in the UK, Nintendo haven't really release too many LE GameCube systems over here. Some of the ones we did get though are pretty tasty... It's a shame we never got the different colour GameBoy Advance Players to go on the bottom...
Most are pretty bulk standard, but a few do stand out:
Metroid Prime Bundle had a Samus "Jewel / plate"
Launch model Spice colour one ~ Believed to be limited to 2000 or so
Mint Green Tales Of Symphonia edition ~ Yes, it DID get a very limited PAL release
Resident Evil 4 edition ~ Silver and black, with Resi logo on controller (Also silver & black), and console.
Pearl White Mario Smash Football edition ~ Same as the FF:CC version as far as I know
The FFCC cube is nearly the same as the one that was released in the mario strikers boxed set but the mario strikers version isnt white all over, the back panel where the video connectors are is made from black plastic for some unexplainable reason.
Also it dosent have a digital out port like the jpn version.
Now those facts I did not know.Originally Posted by importaku
Just checked my first Cube (A silver one I got in the Wind Waker bundle a few years back) and that has a digital outut. I will have to check my Resi one and Mario Smash Football one to see if they have or not. If not, I would imagine Nintendo cut these to save costs, hence why the GameCube has become cheaper recently...
Didn't realise the back panel was black on the MSF one ~ Not that I paid much attention to it, as it's still sitting in it's box...
EDIT: Just checked, and indeed the back panel is black. I also notice that the Analog A/V output is now where teh Digital one used to go.
Another thing I noticed is that there is a port underneath that is missing. I have no idea what this port's function actually is, but it is missing none the less.
The Resi one however, is normal. Has everything that it is supposed to have, and aside from a different colour base and a diffeent "Jewel" it is almost identical to the other silver one I have.
So when did Nintendo start "Cost cutting" and start chopping bits off the console to save money? The Resi one didn't come out too long ago, so must have been recently. I assume all GameCube's made froma specific date will now be like this? Just goes to show that Nintendo really don't want any part of the Digital Revolution...
So, what would this GC be?
rare?
That my friend is the Mario Smash Football one, with the cardboard sleeve removed, and also the game. It's just a bulk standard white GameCube then.Originally Posted by comrade
Generally, as a rule, in the UK (And maybe America) Nintendo use cardboard sleeves over their box's to denote a package. Only exception I klnow of is the Resident Evil set which had a special box design made up. This means that Nintendo can then release the console as a standalone without having to redesign the box art yet again. All they need to do is take a bulk standard console and insert the game and add a cardboard sleeve and their job is much easier.
