    Default The Bemani/Music Game Thread

Who plays 'em? I do *points to his own signature, plus his avatar ^^*

Here are the music games I am either currently wasting my time with, or have wasted time with in the past:

    -DANCE DANCE REVOLUTION: Duh.

-BEATMANIA: 5-key because IIDX is...well, scary. And expensive. Addictive as Hell and great if you're actually starting to get bored with DDR (it's possible)

-PUMP IT UP: Whenever I feel like driving 20 minutes to an arcade to get humbled, I play Pump it Up. Great game if you can stand the music (which I can :P )

-PARAPPA/UM JAMMER LAMMY SERIES: Weren't these great? Parappa 2 wasn't nearly as good as UJL but it was still fun.

I want to try Guitar Freaks, Pop N' Music and Vib Ribbon pretty badly. Oh, and Punch the Monkey (japanese PSX)

I've played a LOT of Guitar Freaks. I own all of the home versions, two Konami guitars, and one third-party "rumble guitar". Those who have watched me play know that I am the MASTA.

On DDR however, I can't even finish most of the two footsie tracks. Unless I use the controller.

I have at least a half dozen Beatmania games and two controllers, and I'm "decent" at the game, but I don't enjoy it like Guitar Freaks.

I wouldn't say I'm necessarily "good" at Parappa or Um Jammer Lammy but I've finished them both.

I'm a fair Bust-a-Groove (and the sequel) player. I love the music.

I'm pretty good at Frequency too. I seem to play it much better when I'm a little buzzed. Not drunk... just buzzed.

I just got the original PSX Guitar Freaks in the mail from NoahsMyBro today (THANK YOU!) and I must say that playing it with the Dual Shock is....um...hell. However I am in the process of buying a 3rd party guitar, also from NoahsMyBro (can't find the friggin' official Konami ones anywhere)

So Joe, you own every home version of Guitar Freaks, eh? Can you beat Least 100 Seconds or Across the Nightmare? How about Classic Party Triathlon? ^_^
