    Default namco system-12 mobo/game..interchangeble??

    just checking
    can i change game's like tekken tag with soul caliber ?? they both use the same mobo( namco system12)

    nope. unless you are good with surface mount soldering.

    system 11 however are a slightly differant matter.

    and by the way, if you were wondering, the top board is the video board, and that's the part that IS swappable, not the 'mother pcb' the mother pcb contains a few surface mouted roms, and so does the video board, and so does the rom board (obviousley)

    to transfer a game you need to swap the roms on the video board. also there's a few differant revisions of the video board to make life even more difficault, but you can tell by looking if they are differant.

    the only simple way of reviving a game is to get another board of the same game and revision and swap the boards about with it. the games revision is on a little sticker on the bottom eg:
    teg 2 ver a is tekken tag version a.
