Default looking for a neo geo emulator for the mac

I own a mvs neo geo. I would like to check out my games that I own as back ups, just like everyone else I was told macmame runs neo geo, but I can't get them to come up! I am getting my monitor fixed and I want to see the game played in the true or close to true colors and so on. Any place to downlaod a working emulator. I can't find Richard Banister's site at all.

Have you tried a Google search for Macintosh Mame or Neo Geo on Macintosh?

yep, found a classic OS9 but it crashes in Tiger 10.4.5. It boots up but quits when I scroll through the menu options and/or pick a game.

Does it also crash when you boot into classic mode? You can always google mame websites and lookup MAME source for Macintosh. I still might have a version that works with OSX. Give me some time as the CD is at my parents house in CA and I am in CO.

Do regular ROMs in your MacMAME work? I'm asking because in MAME32 a BIOS is needed to run NeoGeo ROMs or they won't work.

Bit of a long shot (and I would only suggest it if you're really, really desperate), but perhaps the DOS version of NeoRageX will run under DOSBox for the Macintosh?

I dunno about that. I don't do the DOS. A Bios? I am an equilivant to a 3rd grader when it comes to bioses and things in that nature.
My backup mvs roms don't work in my macmame. I use a classic .66 and the newest one that's supposedly equal to Mame32

All Neo-Geo emus require a NG BIOS ROM in order to function.

You'll have to run a search for a BIOS file.

I would believe there is a BIOS directory in MAME.

Mine is just in my ROMS folder.

The zip is just called "neogeo" and it has the following files in it:
    000-lo.lo
    aes-bios
    asia-s3.rom
    neodebug.rom
    sfix.sfx
    sm1.sm1
    sp-e.sp1
    sp-j2.rom
    sp-s.sp1
    sp-s2.sp1
    uni-bios.10
    uni-bios.11
    uni-bios.12
    uni-bios.13
    usa 2slt
    vs-bios.rom
