    Default GamesTM Magazine

I just found the 2nd issue of this magazine on the newstands & it's awesome. It has a freakin' huge retro section that anyone on these boards would die for.

It's published in the UK, so maybe some of our England boardmembers would know more about it.

    I'm definitely subscribing.

Yeah, this was released here recently. I have to say though, it isn't very good. The retro section is quite good, but I have nothing to compare it to as no other magazines have retro sections.
Their reviews contain big spoilers though, the final boss of Metroid Prime is revealed in one of their main pictures in the review. Bastards.

I think I might have spoken with somebody from this mag a month or so ago. Is there an article on homebrews for classic 80's consoles, perhaps written by somebody named Tristan?

Is this mag available in the states then, or just UK?

I don't see anyone named Tristan among their staff, but that doesn't necessarily mean he doesn't work for them.

My Hastings carries it (Arkansas), so I guess it's making its way across the sea in some places.

It says on the link below that a UK subscription costs 24.00 GBP, but a World is 53.00 GBP. The only experience I have with converting currency is seeing UK auctions on eBay, so I'm not sure how much a year would cost.

Could anyone help converting that into dollars?

    Thanks in advance!

    Using this tool:

    http://uk.finance.yahoo.com/m5?s=GBP

A one year subscription is $84.59.

I'd happily pay the 24 GBP, but I know overseas subscriptions carry a premium. Sadness has set in.

That'll be due to shipping costs. One copy of the Retro Edge magazine costs a total of $16 to buy and send to the US

Still I know a number of people over there who have gotten from folks here...
