    Default Stupid PAL question....

I landed my first PAL game today (Mega Man 3, NES), and when I played it, I noticed that the music was a much quicker tempo than the US counterpart. This is probably a dumb question, but is this due to the PAL-NTSC differences, or simply because the game designers felt like picking up the music a bit?

That's due to PAL-NTSC differences. If I'm playing a NTSC game on my PAL NES, the game and music is actually a litte bit slower.

Look, you''re playing PAL Mega Man 3 (PAL = 50Hz) on a NTSC TV (NTSC=60Hz), so the game plays on 60Hz, while it's made for 50Hz so it's actually a bit faster.
