Default DP's Antique Roadshow now open for your price checks!

Because of the recent influx of price-checks and value-requests, we felt that, many times, questioners weren't getting the answers they needed because their posts were buried or pushed off the forum before someone with the answers found their request.

Well, with the new DP Antiques Roadshow thread (found "stickied" at the top of the Buying and Selling Forum), all of those "floating" value checks can be found in one convenient area. Post there to request a price check on that new game you found; to check on the value of some bizarre nicknack; or to request help in assessing the value of your collection (or parts of it).

And if you have an inkling of game values, stop in and assist these folks with your knowledge! No more lost price checks! And the folks-in-the-know will know where to go!

(Of course, price checks posted outside of this thread will be moved, locked, and/or deleted, just to keep things tidy.)

This is a really good idea. Thank you. Out of curiousity, what other ideas did you mod guys bounce around? 'Because I think an entire forum devoted to price checks might work out. We, uh, tend to get tangential sometimes with the price checks... Forcing them into a single thread might fray it, if you know what I mean.

Regardless: yippee! I look forward to a less cluttered forum.

    Very nice!
funny thing is I love watching the actual TV show- it amazes me how much a piece of cloth from 200 years ago can be worth to someone. Imagine when videogames are 200 years old and what some of the values will be on them- once a collectable always a collectable!

Also it would be too cool if they would actually do a TV episode dedicated to the fine art of videogame collecting and the phenomenon of it.

    Great idea though!

How much should I pay for a loose copy of Jack Bros. for the Virtual Boy? It's even missing the little cap for the cartridge.....

I'd say $40 maybe. Complete is can usually fetch closer to $80, so half that price might be alright.
And yes, this isn't the right thread.

Why do you have this thread, why not just take us to the thread where the appraisal's being done?

This is the announcement thread that's shown globally throughout DP throughout all forums. Without it, you wouldn't even know of the new thread's existance unless you stumbled across it.

And make the thread a permanent global announcement that appears in every forum?
