Default My little slice of gaming heaven.... *Pics Inside*

Well...she isn't finished yet, but I am damn proud of her! :P

This is my gaming room I have been working on for the past 3 months or so...everything has been a DIY project for my wife & me. This room started out with blank white walls, and a cement floor.

I just started tracking down all the consoles I used to own as a kid (And a lot I didn't!), so my collection isn't quite as impressive as most here, but it's growing at a nice rate.

And yes, I know it's not perfect, but my oh my it sure is FUN!!!

    Super Mario World:

My Small, But Growing Game Collection:

    The Systems:

A Splash of Modern Gaming and the Projector:

    A Quick High Def. Shot:

If any of you are ever in the Central California area, you are more than welcome to stop on by and get a gaming session in!

Nice setup, can you post a pic of the overall room structure?

    You bet.

From opposite corners of the room:

Things left to do include find better seating, ceiling mount the projector, and replace the sheet with some curtains :P.

That looks really really COMFORTABLE. I like how you can just lean to the right and turn on another system. Not too much nonsense going from one game to the next.

    Looking great!

    Thank you

The only bad part is the projector in the middle, and the lack of seating...great for 2 people...but get 4 or more in there and it can get a little crazy.

PARTY at Zill's house whoo hoo
The human operates out of complex superiority demands, self -affirming through ritual, insiting upon a rational need to learn, striving for self-imposed goals, manipulating his environment while he denies his own adaptive abilities, never fully satisfied.

You should be proud of it, it's awesome. It has the home theatre feel yet still maintains that quaint small gameroom atmosphere.

Just wait until you start filling up that wall space with more games and consoles!
RIP bargora, you will be greatly missed. That is how we do things on Giedion Prime.

Looking at those pics reminds me of a time when I could keep all my crap in one room. There may be a similar time in the future for you; you'll miss the innocence of being able to actually be focused on a game long enough to complete it. You'll not have to find weird alrtnate places to keep your consoles. You won't have to deal with the looks of old family members, confused by why a "boy your age would play game tapes so much."

.. the room is awesome anyway.
    Alert the internet.

That is the wife's fear...one day she is going to come home, and my stuff will have spilled into every other room in the house....hmmm, now that I think of it, we DO have an extra bedroom.....
