Best light gun Shooter?

I'm craving a light gun shooter game. What's the best for either PS2 or Dreamcast?

Dreamcast: tough call between House of the Dead 2 and Confidential Mission. Both titles are STELLAR light gun games.

Is Time Crisis II much better than House of the Dead 2 for DC??? Also, how is Ninja Assault for PS2?

I'm just really got in the mood to pick up one of these games after work...

I prefer HOTD2 over Time Crisis II. The zombies alone put it into the lead IMO, and it looks and plays wonderfully on the DC. Textbook example of a fun light gun game.

If you were only looking to pick up two LG games regardless of platform, I'd suggest both of the DC standouts, HOTD2 and Confidential Mission. Confidential Mission has cool training stuff and is just a good ol' fun romp. People often criticize it for being short, but that doesn't take away from the gameplay experience. It's very well done.

Of the PS2 gun games, Time Crisis II wins out over Vampire Night and Ninja Assault. It's just a better game overall. I was really looking forward to Vampire Night - a Sega / Namco production, but in the end it just fell short of the mark. Not as fast or frenzied as HOTD2. Still worth a purchase if you're a fan of the genre, but if you're only looking for the best PS2 LG game, stick with TCII.

Ninja Assault is also fun, and you should be able to score it NEW for $30-$40 with the GunCon2. Good deal.

Vampire Night is truly awesome, my favorite light gun game on a home console.
