    Default Super Famicom AC Adapter

    Hi everyone,

I had a question that I can't find an answer to...what are the specifics of a Super Famicom AC Adapter? I got one in the mail today (sans adapter) and was wondering if it would be safe to use the one with my Turbo Grafx...the cord fits and the power ratings seem close, but I'm a bit apprehensive to plug it in and possibly blow something out.

    Thanks!

The Super Famicom uses the same AC adapter as the original Famicom (HVC-002). I believe the SNES power supply also has the same power ratings as the FC/SFC (DC 10V, 850mA), but unfortunately the plug is different.

I've never tried a PC Engine/TurboGrafx power supply with a Super Famicom, but I believe the PC Engine AC adapter is only 9V, so it's likely not strong enough to power the SFC. I'm also not sure if a TurboGrafx-16 power supply can be used (DC 10.5V, 730 mA). Never tried it, but you might fry your SFC, so be careful. Does the plug even fit?
