Currently catching up on PSN, WiiWare, Wii U E-Shop and Xbox Live Arcade exclusives I missed.
Amazing what can change in 2½ years! My first 2 will never change, but let’s have a look at the others.
Since my Genesis buying spree in 2003, that system has really moved up in my eyes and is now number 3. Similarly, I never liked the Playstation until last year when I discovered all the great 2D games for it. It moves up to number 4. On the other hand, I had only just got a CD32 when I wrote that list so it was still exciting. Since then the system has lost some of its appeal for me so it moves all the way down to number 9.Originally Posted by 2½ years ago, Keir to the nth power
Completely missing from this list is the Turbografx-16! I’m pretty sure I owned one at the time, but maybe I didn’t put it on the list because I had no way of playing CD games. While there are some good Hucard games, it was the CD games that won me over.
What other systems are missing? Laseractive (too few games), TI-99 (maybe I should have made a seperate list for computers?), Gamecube (the only modern console I own), handhelds (GBA, GP32, etc.), anything at all by Nintendo (I do love my Virtual Boy)... oh yeah, Dreamcast! In at number 7.
Unfortunately, that means 2 systems must be removed from the list (sorry Atari 5200 and Odyssey 2!). Behold, a new list for 2005!
1. Commodore 64
2. Atari 2600
3. Genesis
4. Playstation
5. Colecovision
6. Turbografx-16
7. Dreamcast
8. Intellivision
9. Amiga CD32
10. VIC-20
It's too tough to put my favorite systems in order. It's fairly easy to name my favorite ten without rankings.
2600, NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Turbo-Grafx 16, Playstation, Neo Geo, Gameboy Advance, and Gamecube.
I'm more of a classical gamer, but I like all games new and old.
Dang, 10 is a lot. OK here goes.
Atari VCS
Playstation
NES
3DO
Vectrex
Dreamcast
Saturn
N64
Gamecube
Genesis
Wow, that wasn't as hard as I thought, and in just about the right order no less. Throw in the PS2 at 11 and SNES at 12 and you have all the consoles I like.
Again, like others, my favorite 10 consoles in no particular order:
Saturn
Genesis
N64
Dreamcast
SNES/SFC
Gameboy Series (GB/C/A)
Commodore 64 (I need to get my hands on another one soon)
Gamecube

Nothing much unusual here:
1. NES
2. SNES
3 PSX
4 PS2
5. Genesis
6. Gameboy Color
7. Atari 2600
8. Master System
9. Gamecube

I thought I already posted in this thread but it looks like I didn't so here it is. It's somewhat in order.
1.Snes
2.Nes
3.Gamecube
4.Turbo Grafx
5.Atari 2600
6.Xbox
7.GBA sp
8.Genesis
9.Sms

BTW I did not include psp or ds just because there aren't really enough games out to judge them. Otherwise they may have made the list.
I guess I made this list 11 years ago. It would be a bit different now so I'll make a new one. Kind of surprised N64 made my list. Never been a big fan of that one.
10. PlayStation 2
9. GameCube
8. Sega Master System
7. GBA sp
6. Colecovision
5. Super Nes
4. Neo Geo Aes/Mvs
3. Sega Genesis

I tried to rank them but I really love the first 6 or 7 of them almost equally.
