I vote for Rush.
Or you could name it after Bass's badass dog Gospel, Gospel is way better the Rush.
I am in fact the guy that made the Raisins prototype worth thousands less by dumping it. "D'oh!!"
Red XIII - FF7
K.K. Slider (Totakeke) - Animal Crossing
Conform. Consume. Obey.
Suikoden III features a timid little mutt named Koruko as well as a separate mini-quest in which he recruits four other dogs to join the cause.
Then there's Wonderdog, who was the SegaCD mascot for five whole minutes back in the day.
For the record,Turbo the dog also appears in Terranigma/Tenchi Sozo. He hangs around that psychic brat Mei Lin.

You could turn into a dog in Mouse Trap ;p
Also Pac-Man had a dog in PacMan 2 for the SNES and Genesis. There was also a dog in Harvest Moon, and probably more that I can't remember ;p
My vote for coolest dog though, has to go to Rush.
Check out the Kleppings!

Oh, forgot about Shiro from Sukoden II.
