Default Jack Thomopson Settles with Take-Two

Some of you may know about a series of suits between Thompson and Take-Two in regards to the upcoming GTA IV and Manhunt 2.

Thompson threatened to block the sales, Take-Two countered by suing him, and he responed claiming RICO violations.

Well now they've settled. Here's how it works:

Charges of contempt of court in regards to last years Bully trial will be dropped.

    Thompson will:

What a gyp. Seems that much more could have come from that. I'm just a casual observer, so i don't know all the details-maybe this is a good thing. I just don't know.

This basically prevents Jack Thompson from being as much of an ass as he normally is, or from accusing MS, Sony, Best Buy, of being criminals.

He can't interfer with Rockstar's business and is there for reomved of much of his power.

Yes, this looks like a win for Take 2. Jack isn't destroyed, but, although I'm not an attorney, it's hard to see what else Take 2 could have reasonably expected to do to him.

He'll find a way around that, methinks. You've seen his nonsense before, and you'll see it again, albeit in a different, indirect form.

Hopefully he will go back to his ways and forget he agreed to those conditions and end up in jail (or whatever happens if he breaks the conditions set in the settlement).

Possibility is infinity! You must be satisfied!
