Default Televideo. what the heck is this thing?

saw one of these in a thrift last night. I plugged it in and tried to boot it up. all it did was display rows of dots. the sire I grabbed this pic from had no info either.

anyone know what the hell it is? is it worth going back to pick up. it was friggin huge.

I don't know what it is exactly but it looks like a terminal and if that's the case it's usually worthless without the main server to access for programs.

I'm not sure that it's a terminal... I've never seen a terminal with a disc drive before... I'm thinking it might be an old CP/M based computer...

If I saw that for less than $10 I would definitely buy it. I've had very good luck with selling odd early 80's computers on ebay.

@y-bot: I thought about grabbing it, the damn thing was HUGE though. plus they wanted $15.00 for the monitor and another $11.00 for the keyboard. didn't seem worth it.

@Tom61: that's the one. TS-802, it was the version with the 2 5.25 disk drives.
