NAVA = North Atlantic Videogame Aficionados. It's FREE, and YOU are invited to attend.

Previously at NAVA...

- Attendees got their groove on playing head-to-head DJ Hero.
- The 6pm tournament was Bomberman, where some unexpected competition arose.
- The store was visited by a strange military figure with many props.
- Games and systems traded hands between attendees who brought their own trade boxes.
- Pictures tell it best:

January's gathering was a FULL HOUSE. People get a little stir-crazy in the winter, so we're expecting a pretty big turnout again in February. As such, I'd like to once again encourage being a PART of the event, not just a spectator - bring game items to sell or trade, or bring snacks or drink. Years of doing this has proven that the more everyone gets into the team spirit of it all, the better it is!

Though we've been doing this unofficially for a long time, a new NAVA tradition will begin this month: an arcade high score contest. One game on our arcade cabinet will be chosen for each event. That game will be set up for FREE PLAY. The person who logs in the highest score for the day (by 8pm) will win a special prize selected from my own personal collection and will be added to a new "house champion" tournament plaque for the Wall of Fame located just above the arcade section of the store. So, seeing as we're hosting a Capcom-themed event, the game this month will be Mercs. Get your practicing in now so you can put the high score up on the 27th!

Many requests for a Tatsunoko vs. Capcom tournament, so we'll run with it. We've been playing the Japanese version for many months but apparently the US version has really got everyone hooked. Both will be available for play but we'll run the tourney using the US version. We'll kick it off at 6pm but you should be there by 5 to sign up. We'll charge a nominal $5 entry fee with the winner getting half the cut and the rest going to the pizza pool. Feel free to bring your own controllers but modded controllers will not be allowed.

Get your trade boxes in order. Get your game face on. It's THAT time again!
