maybe if you are comparing a graphically good PS2 game to a poor Xbox game- then i can see it.
if you use a high quality display there is no question PS2 is behind xbox.

I'm talking about the same game on all 3 systems.
Spider-man Looks better on my Hdtv on Ps2 than Xbox or Gamecube.
And it doesn't matter if I'm talking about a "Great" game on PS2 and a "poor" game on Xbox. I'm talking about the way the games look overall. The PS2 games never look inferior enough to warrant new and improved hardware. And that is , like I said, If they look inferior . Most of the time they don't.
I think they are saying it to make nintendo, microsoft, and that new up start for get the name of them, worry. But like everything else in gaming it will be delayed and delayed. I just hope it has a hard drive and PS2 and PS1 game work on it.
Interesting point. I've read a few bitter rants on the Xbox enthusiasts' board at gamefaqs regarding this point. Usually the blame is placed on "lazy developers" who code out the game for the PS2 first, since it's reputedly the most difficult to program for, and more importantly because it has the largest market share (thus if delays occur in porting the game to other systems, at least the PS2 rev can get out there and earn money). Then, when it's time to port the game to the Xbox (and GCN) the "lazy developers", shockingly enough, don't recode the game from the ground up to take advantage of all the doodly-dads the other systems have that can make the game prettier. End result: games that don't look that much better on the Xbox (or GCN) than they do on PS2.Originally Posted by jonjandran

I like topics like these because they're controversial. The point of posting controversial news items - provided you dispute it - is to get people to express their reasoing for or (preferably) against it. What bugs me about some of the replies when a topic like this is posted is that the replies are often even less thought out than the original news.

are you serious? i have used all three on an HDTV and declared the Xbox hands down winner-no constest. All three using component video. are you using component on each one? also, do you have the xbox set to output 720p and 1080i images?
